Saving on Diapers Tips – Where Is That Potty Chair?!

Recent studies show the fact that babies use almost 7000 diapers until they reach the age when they can go to bathroom by themselves. In the following article, I will share some tricks that will help your saving on diapers issue. It is difficult to raise children nowadays, especially when there is such a diverse product offer and so many useful and not-so-useful products designed especially for babies. It’s difficult to learn what your baby need (vital things) and what your baby can live perfectly without.
1. Premium brand diapers versus white brand diapers. Choose to buy white brand diapers and try to find the ones that best serve the body and the needs of your baby. Experiment as much as you can – always look for different shops to buy the things you need. Diapers from a big brand always include in the price the cost of the publicity that needs to sustain the brand image. Trust me, I am a marketing graduate and I know that this is the way things works. Saving on diapers is a matter of choice – if you don’t trust white brand diapers, then you should research on them and find out which is good an which isn’t.

2. Cloth diapers. One of the easiest ways for saving on diapers is to look for cloth diapers instead of disposable diapers. Cloth diapers are modern, comfortable, washable and reusable. If you compare the total cost (over a 2 ½ years period) using disposable diapers, wraps and prefolds and washable cloth diapers here (http://www NULL.mother-ease NULL.com/cloth-diapers/Savings). It is a very detailed description of the costs, based on average estimators for each category. You can also find descriptions of what cloth diapers are (http://www NULL.mother-ease NULL.com/cloth-diapers/ClothDiaperArticle) and if they are good for your baby. This is one of the best way for saving on diapers if you don’t want to rely completely on potty chairs.
3. Baby fairs. Supermarkets and hypermarkets generally promote in a seasonal way, once or twice per years, baby fairs – such as the one here (http://www NULL.highcountrypress NULL.com/weekly/2011/04-14-11/playhouse-baby-fair NULL.htm), with discounts and bargains on quality items. Some may require an entrance fee (for specific days, as you can see for the example I gave). Depending on where you live, you can always search over the internet baby fairs in your area. For example, this (http://www NULL.bumpsandbabiesfair NULL.com/faqs NULL.html) is a free one (I linked to the FAQs so that you can find out even more information).
4. You can s
ubscribe to the newsletters of diapers websites. It is a good way to find out in time about certain exclusive promotions or discounts and thus keeping you informed of the most recent ways of saving on diapers (every shop or supermarket can have their own ways of promoting certain items).
5. Group shopping. A group is a discount dealer. If you have friends or relatives with babies of the same age as yours, you can but more packages of diapers together (remember that the larger the package, the lower the unit cost per diaper) and share them according to everyone’s necessities. This is group saving on diapers.
My personal advice would be to buy your child a potty chair and teach them to always use it when they need it. It is better to teach them how to use it then buy diapers for…forever! I know a baby (my nephew) who was
taught to use the potty chair when he was only 4 months old. He doesn’t have any health related issues now and he is 14 years old. You can teach your baby to use the potty chair in less than a month and not necessarily when th
ey are 4 months old. I myself grew up using a potty chair and I didn’t suffer from this.
I love babies and I love how easily they learn new things – otherwise I wouldn’t give you this piece of advice. I really wonder why no one seems to talk about potty chairs! Can you think of a better and risk-free way of saving on diapers? I can’t! Give it a thought and a try. Your baby can do it!
