How To Save More Money Even When You Think You Can’t

When you have already cut all the wasteful spending, when you gave up all your fancies and week-ends nights and you still can’t save any money or you still can’t pay your loans, here’s what you can do if thinking about how to save more money became a constant problem that needs solving.

1. Even if it feels like you absolutely must go to the shop, DON’T!

Every time we need something, we go to the nearby shop or to the supermarket. But there are other things you can do, of course. First of all, ask yourself if you really need that thing. That brown sugar for who knows what cake, the French wrench that you use only once, that loud colored t-shirt well suited for Hawaii – they all seem necessary at the moment, but are they really vital? Can’t you use something you already have to replace their use? Remember, you are broke! How to save more money if you keep doing what you have always been doing in terms of shopping?

Ask yourself: can I borrow (not money, but things)? Let’s go back to that French wrench. What use does it have to buy it when your neighbor/colleague/friend can lend you one? After all, you only need it once a year and would be useless for the rest of the 364 days of the year!

2. If possible, negotiate!

Negotiation means more than just getting a cheaper price. But let’s start with this scenario.

In many shops, including in the clothing shops, there are “worn-out” articles that are several bucks cheaper than other items. Well, I am not telling you to buy rotten tomatoes or broken TV sets, but if you find a pair of jeans that lack a button, for example, many shops will reduce the price value for it.

If you don’t buy from a shop but from individuals, the negotiation is limitless! When renting, buying houses/cars or any other item you buy in a fairy, the negotiation is mandatory! If you needed to know how to save more money, this is one of the answers!

3. Try the barter!

When you want to buy something, see if you have something that the seller needs, especially if it’s about a friend. You can make an exchange. For a wrench, you can help them fix their car in the week-end or you can give him a tool you already have. You may not get rid of the payment, but it is possible to get a price reduction. When you hit the bottom, any price reduction matters! This is the best advice on how to save more money.

There’s Craig’s list and you must use it!

4. Scheduled shopping

If you postpone the buying of the worn out car tyres and you wait until all the tires are worn out, you will pay a lot of money on the first set of tyre you see.

Always try to find if there is a period of sales for the things you need. Can you wait until then? Or, if you find them on sale today, you go buy them, even if you don’t need them that day? Even when there are no official periods of sales, there are websites or magazines that offer vouchers for different shops. Always think on how to save more money efficiently and organized. These are the bases for a quality life.
5. Do not become sedentary!

We all have our preferred brands, our preferred shops where it seems we can always find what we look for, our preferred malls or supermarkets! Contrary to what a marketing graduate should say to people, I must tell you that loyalty in terms of shopping is a very bad thing!

Don’t go straight to the Y outlet when you go shopping. Look for the items you want in more outlets, compare the prices even if you don’t have any money. The result is that you will figure out which shop sells quality items, which sells cheaper, which offers best services, etc.

Get used to notice and analyze the price and quality differences among things. Do not let yourself be influenced by the big brands names or the place where an item is sold. If you really wanted to know how to save more money even when on a budget, you might want to consider this simple advice I gave you. Change your habits and improve your quality life!

Search for things more and you will pay less!
